About the job

A new Montessori early years school in Nairobi is looking for its founding head teacher. The head will open the school, hire and develop staff, set up safeguarding and compliance, bring in CBC competencies and report to the Board on enrolment and learning.

Key responsibilities

Lead school readiness and opening
Recruit and develop teaching and operations staff
Keep Montessori practice consistent and add CBC competencies
Oversee learner wellbeing, progress and teaching quality
Report to the Board

Qualifications

Bachelor's in education or a related field
TSC registration and a certificate of good conduct
7-10 years' teaching with 3+ years in school leadership
Early years experience; Montessori training highly desirable
