For learners and parents
- Lessons in every subject and level, from early years to senior school and college, for CBC / CBE, 8-4-4, Cambridge IGCSE, IB, American, British and other curricula.
- Every tutor is checked by the Muhula team, with qualifications, reviews from other parents and students, availability and prices on their profile.
- Free lessons, and paid lessons at the tutor's price plus a 3.5% convenience fee.
- Pay Muhula by M-Pesa (a payment request to your phone) or card; your receipt and join code arrive in My MuhulaClass and by email.
- A personal join code for each booking, working on 2 devices, so only those who booked get in.
- Rate the tutor after the lesson.
For teachers and tutors
- Earn extra by teaching the subjects you know best, with or without a school.
- Post free or paid lessons at your own price, with a poster, photos and videos of your teaching.
- You keep 80% of each paid lesson for free, up to 92% on Platinum; Silver, Gold and Platinum also show you higher to parents and students.
- Muhula collects the payments; after each lesson you request your money and Muhula pays you by M-Pesa or bank.
- Teachers on MuhulaKonnect start with their profile already filled in, and may teach under an alias.
- Send your certificates and get the free green tick ; Silver , Gold and Platinum plans add visibility and faster checks.

How tutors are paid
- Learners pay MuhulaNever the tutor directly, so every payment is recorded and receipted.
- The lesson takes placeMuhula keeps its own record of the lesson room: when it opened, how long it ran and which learners joined.
- Request your paymentAfter the lesson, the tutor requests the payment and shares the class link.
- Muhula checks and paysThe team checks the record and pays the tutor's share by M-Pesa or bank. Cancelled lessons are refunded to learners.
Safe by design
- Tutors are checked before anything of theirs shows, and every photo, poster and video is checked against clear content rules.
- Lessons happen only in the private Muhula lesson room; tutors never ask for private contacts or meetings.
- Phone numbers and emails are hidden on profiles and reviews.
- Report anything worrying through Contact us; Muhula can remove content and close tutor accounts.

Do I need an account?
You can browse lessons and tutors without one. To see full profiles and reviews, and to book, create a free Muhula account.
What does it cost?
Free lessons cost nothing. Paid lessons cost the tutor's price plus a 3.5% convenience fee, shown before you pay.
What if the lesson is cancelled?
Muhula refunds what you paid.
Can my child share the join code?
No. Each code works on 2 devices only. If it was shared by mistake, the tutor can send a new one.
How do I become a tutor?
Open Teach on MuhulaClass, add your subjects, levels, qualifications and how Muhula pays you. The Muhula team checks your profile, then you can post lessons.
