About the job

A recruitment firm is hiring a head teacher for an established private primary school in Nairobi. The head teacher will be the school's chief academic and administrative officer: running daily operations, leading CBE delivery, developing teachers, handling discipline and growing enrolment, and reporting to the Board of Management. Salary: KES 50,000 - 100,000 a month.

Key responsibilities

Lead daily operations, plans, policies and budgets
Implement and monitor CBE and Ministry / KNEC requirements
Coach teachers, observe lessons and organise training
Keep in touch with the Ministry, TSC and county offices
Lead parent relations and enrolment growth

Qualifications

Bachelor of Education; a master's in education leadership is an advantage
Valid TSC registration
8+ years of primary teaching including 3+ years in senior leadership
Trained in CBE; Cambridge experience is an advantage
Good knowledge of the Basic Education Act and child protection
