About the job

USIU-Africa is recruiting a Deputy Vice Chancellor for Student Life to lead everything that supports students from enrolment to graduation: wellbeing, counselling, inclusion, career services, international students and student conduct. The DVC sits on the Management Board and manages the division's staff and budget.

Key responsibilities

Turn the strategic plan into student success targets
Lead wellbeing, counselling, careers and international student services
Work with faculties to improve retention and graduation
Represent the student voice in management
Manage the division's budget, staff and data

Qualifications

PhD and membership of a relevant professional body
7+ years in a senior student affairs or student success role
5+ years of teaching or managing student life
Strong budgeting, data and change-management skills
