About this scholarship
Gates Cambridge funds outstanding graduates from outside the UK to take a full-time postgraduate degree at the University of Cambridge. There is no separate scholarship form: you apply for your Cambridge course and complete the Gates Cambridge section of the same application before the course's funding deadline. Selection looks at academic excellence, a clear reason for the chosen course, leadership potential and a commitment to improving the lives of others. Applicants outside the United States follow the course funding deadline, which is either 8 December 2026 or 6 January 2027 depending on the course, so check the course page and apply by the earlier date if unsure.
