About the job

Chantilly Schools in Banana, Kiambu, wants a teacher of Social Studies who can also teach English, Agriculture, Science or Kiswahili. The teacher will plan lessons and termly schemes of work under the CBC / CBE framework, make teaching resources and run regular assessments. The school expects teachers to work with its learner support team, keep parents informed and act as class teacher.

Key responsibilities

  • Teach Social Studies and one combination subject
  • Plan lessons and schemes of work under CBC / CBE
  • Set, mark and record assessments
  • Identify learners needing remedial or enrichment support
  • Act as class teacher and communicate with parents

Qualifications

  • P1 certificate or Diploma in Primary Teacher Education recognised by TSC
  • Registered with TSC with a valid TSC number
  • Training in the competency-based curriculum (CBC / CBE)
  • Extra training in special needs, counselling, safeguarding or education technology is an advantage
  • About two years of teaching experience
