About the job

Tangaza University is recruiting a Programme Leader for its Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. The holder reports to the Dean and is responsible for the quality and day-to-day running of the programme, including updating the curriculum to reflect modern farming technology and sustainable agriculture. The university wants an experienced lecturer with an active research record in agriculture, leadership experience in a university and a commitment to its faith-based mission.

Key responsibilities

Provide academic and administrative leadership for the degree
Review the curriculum for modern and sustainable agriculture
Support lecturers and students
Ensure the programme meets CUE guidelines and university policy

Qualifications

PhD in Agriculture or a closely related field
Senior Lecturer rank or eligible for it
At least five years of university teaching
Leadership experience such as head of department, exams coordinator or programme leader
Active professional body membership and at least three indexed publications
