About the job

WUSC, an international education charity, is hiring a Senior Manager in Nairobi to lead technical support to more than forty higher education partners in Africa. The focus is on helping young people, especially young women and displaced students, move from secondary school into tertiary study and work. The role manages a team and budget and involves regional travel.

Key responsibilities

Lead technical support to higher education partners
Oversee secondary-to-tertiary transition work
Support pathways from education to employment
Manage the component budget and team
Liaise with UNHCR, ministries and partners

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in development, education, public policy or similar
Seven to ten years in higher education or technical assistance
At least five years managing multi-country teams in Africa
Experience managing budgets of US$1M or more
Fluent English; French is a significant asset
