Kenya Science Campus is a University of Nairobi campus on Ngong Road, about eight kilometres from the city centre. It began as the Kenya Science Teachers College, set up in 1965 by the governments of Kenya and Sweden to train science teachers, and was handed to the university and renamed in 2007. Today it falls under the university's School of Education in the College of Education and External Studies and is home to the Bachelor of Education (Science) and Bachelor of Education (ICT) programmes, as well as an early childhood laboratory school, Kenya Science Nursery School. The University of Nairobi is a public university chartered by the Commission for University Education. Its exact position along Ngong Road and its ward should be confirmed.
