Loreto Convent Msongari is a Catholic girls' school in Lavington founded by the Loreto Sisters (IBVM) in 1921, when the first 17 pupils started classes. It is one of Nairobi's oldest schools, with historic buildings such as a concert hall and tennis courts dating from 1929. Today it has a kindergarten, a primary school and a secondary school, with more than 2,000 learners. The early years and primary follow the Competency-Based Curriculum, while the secondary school has prepared girls for both the Kenyan national examinations and Cambridge IGCSE. The high school takes day girls and offers optional boarding, while the kindergarten and primary are day only. School life includes a chapel and Catholic faith formation, science laboratories, swimming, netball, football, the World Scholar's Cup and career days. It sits next to St. Mary's School.
