The flying school of Kenya Aeronautical College trains pilots at two bases: Wilson Airport in Nairobi and Malindi International Airport on the north coast. The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority lists both airports as approved locations for the college's flying school. Courses cover the private and commercial pilot licences, a multi-engine instrument rating and the flight operations officer (dispatch) course. The college also runs KAC Aviation Engineering, an approved maintenance organisation based at Malindi International Airport with capability on Cessna 100-series and Piper PA-28 and PA-34 aircraft, which supports the training fleet. The wider college, founded in 2003 and based at Wilson Airport, offers aeronautical engineering, cabin crew, flight operations and airport operations programmes; the Malindi base is the place for coastal flying training.
