About the job

St. Philip Neri Primary School at Joska in Mavoko is looking for a swimming coach. The coach will take children from their first lessons to confident independent swimming, and prepare a school squad for inter-school and county galas. The job also covers tracking each child's progress, reporting to parents every term, and keeping the pool safe for all learners.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and teach swimming lessons for each age
  • Train squad swimmers for galas
  • Test progress and report to parents each term
  • Look after pool rules, equipment and attendance records
  • Keep children safe in the water

Qualifications

  • Recognised swimming coaching qualification
  • Valid lifesaving and first aid certificates
  • Certificate of Good Conduct
  • At least three years of swimming coaching, preferably with children
