St Joseph's Girls Kitale take East African hockey gold

St Joseph's Girls Kitale were crowned girls' hockey champions at the 2026 FEASSA Games, the East African secondary schools competition held in Morogoro, Tanzania. They drew 1-1 with fellow Kenyan side Ng'iya Girls in the final and won the shootout 3-2. St Anthony's Boys Kitale, from the same town, won the boys' hockey title. The games ran from 12 to 22 August and closed with a ceremony at Jamhuri Stadium.
