ALS Flight Training (ALS Limited)

ALS Flight Training is the pilot school of ALS Limited, a Kenyan airline and charter operator that began at Wilson Airport in 1985 with a single Cessna 150 and now flies Cessna Caravans, Beechcraft 1900s, Dash 8s and Embraer jets for humanitarian agencies and airlines. Its training organisation was approved by the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority in April 2025 (Approved Training Organisation No. 26) for the Private Pilot Licence and the Commercial Pilot Licence, and ALS is also approved to give Cessna C208 Caravan type ratings. Its ab-initio programme runs in five phases: selection, private pilot training, commercial training, multi-engine and instrument training, then the C208 type rating and hour building. Students train on Cessna 172 aircraft with modern avionics, and strong graduates who complete the Caravan rating may be offered work as first officers with ALS, subject to an internal assessment.
