Flitestar Academy is a flight academy at Wilson Airport in Nairobi, approved by the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority as Approved Training Organisation No. 23 and open to Kenyan and international students. Its courses run from the Private Pilot Licence and Commercial Pilot Licence to single-engine and multi-engine instrument ratings and the Flight Instructor Rating, and it also teaches Flight Operations and Dispatch for people who want to plan and control flights on the ground. Students train on Cessna 152 and Cessna 172 aircraft. The flying side is led by Chief Flight Instructor Phillip Gitata, ground school by Chief Ground Instructor Kennedy Kavoo, and quality by Stan Karuri. The academy's office is on the first floor of Pewin House at Wilson Airport, and applications are made through its website.
