Chiromo Campus is one of the University of Nairobi's Nairobi campuses, a short distance from the main campus in the city centre, on the edge of Westlands near Riverside Drive. It is best known as the home of the university's science and computing courses, including the biological, physical and computing sciences, and it hosts the Institute for African Studies. The campus has laboratories, lecture theatres and research facilities used by undergraduate and postgraduate students. The University of Nairobi is Kenya's oldest public university and is chartered by the Commission for University Education; Chiromo is part of the main university rather than a separate institution. The official university website could not be reached during this check, so the location comes from secondary sources.
