St. Mary's School, known as Saints, is a Roman Catholic day school for boys run under the Archdiocese of Nairobi. It was started in Parklands in 1939 by Holy Ghost Fathers from Blackrock College in Dublin and moved in the 1940s to a large site on the land of St. Austin's Mission in Muthangari, off James Gichuru Road; its main buildings with twin towers date from 1954. The school has kindergarten, junior and senior sections and offers the Kenyan national curriculum alongside Cambridge and IGCSE programmes. Since the early 1980s it has run the International Baccalaureate Diploma, which is open to girls as well as boys. Saints is known for its annual school musical, staged for the public since 1971, and for rugby, basketball and swimming. It neighbours Loreto Convent Msongari.
