About the job

The International School of Kenya is recruiting a high school counsellor to run a data-informed, multi-tiered counselling programme based on the International School Counselor Association model. The work covers academic course scheduling together with support for students' social and emotional wellbeing, their identity and global outlook, their studies, and their plans for college and careers. Experience with internationally mobile families is important.

Key responsibilities

Run a tiered counselling programme for high school students
Handle academic course scheduling
Give social and emotional support and help with transitions
Advise students on college and career plans

Qualifications

Master's degree in school or guidance counselling
Valid certification or licence in secondary school counselling
At least four years of secondary school counselling experience
Working knowledge of the ISCA model
Experience with third-culture students and international families
Comfort with student information systems such as PowerSchool
