About

Standards Aviation is a flying school at Wilson Airport, Nairobi, approved by the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority as Approved Training Organisation No. 7. It offers the Private Pilot Licence, the Commercial Pilot Licence, Airline Transport Pilot Licence studies and the Flight Instructor Rating, and helps pilots trained abroad convert a foreign licence to a Kenyan one. Training is one student to one instructor, with ground school and flying planned together so that each course runs to a set timeline. The school says its instructors come from general aviation, airline and Kenya military backgrounds. Its training fleet is made up of Cessna 172 Skyhawks (registrations 5Y-YYC, 5Y-YYA, 5Y-BYY and 5Y-YYE), kept airworthy by licensed aircraft engineers, and KCAA's 2026 flying-instruction licence also covers a Beechcraft BE76 twin. Fees are given on request.
