About

Bahati Vocational Training Centre is a public training centre run by Nairobi City County in Bahati estate, in the Maringo/Hamza ward of Makadara. It serves young people and adults from the surrounding Eastlands neighbourhoods with low-cost, hands-on training and is accredited by TVETA. The main courses are at artisan and grade test level in fashion design and dressmaking, electrical and electronic technology (wireman), food and beverage production and service, plumbing, and hairdressing and beauty therapy. Short courses of two to twelve weeks cover computer packages, graphic and web design, ICDL, cyber security basics, solar PV and domestic power installation, pastry and baking, catering, beauty skills and driving for several licence classes. Every learner also takes entrepreneurship, life skills, communication and computer studies.
